Aeropress Guide: How to make the perfect coffee at home
The Aeropress is the favorite tool of travelers and coffee lovers seeking versatility. Preparation Guide: The Aeropress Ritual
The essentials:
- Coffee: 18g of freshly ground coffee (medium-fine grind, table salt type).
- Water: 220ml of water at 89-96°C.
- Time: Approximately 2 minutes.
The steps:
- The grind: Start by grinding your 18g of coffee with a medium grind.
- Water: Bring the water to a simmer, ideally between 89°C and 96°C.

- Setup: Place the ground coffee in the Aeropress tube.
- Assembly: Attach the filter holder to the tube, then turn the Aeropress upside down over your container.
- Infusion: Pour 50ml of hot water over the ground coffee.
- Extraction: Raise the press and press with both hands. You should feel slight resistance.
- Repetition: Repeat this operation (pouring and pressing) three times until you reach a total of 200g of water.
